Data Engineer
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Data Engineer who will play a vital role in managing and leveraging data to optimize warehouse operations and improve overall efficiency. The job incumbent will be responsible for designing and maintaining data infrastructure that supports the collection, storage, processing, and analysis of warehouse-related data.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and run reports to provide valuable insights to the company and operations.
- Design, build, and maintain the infrastructure required for data storage, processing, and retrieval.
- Create and manage databases and data warehouses.
- Develop and implement Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to extract data from various sources, transform it into a suitable format, and load it into the target systems. This includes data cleansing, aggregation, normalization, data quality checks, BI tools : billing, KPIs, etc..
- Design and optimize data models that align with the organization’s data needs and requirements.
- Ensure efficient database management by implementing indexing strategies, partitioning, and optimizing query performance.
- Monitor data systems’ performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize data processes to improve efficiency and scalability. This includes monitoring system resource usage, identifying optimizations, and implementing performance tuning techniques.
- Look “behind the numbers” to understand how our operation works and flourish in changing environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, technology, data science, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience with a process design in related field of activities.
Other Requisites
- Well versed in PowerBI, SSRS, SQL, or other similar programs.
- Excellent knowledge in MS Excel (proficiency with other statistical software a plus).
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, data integration, and designing scalable data architectures is necessary.
- Sound knowledge of cloud-based technologies (SaaS), computing, and data processing service.
- Possess strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking to address complex data challenges and optimize data workflows.
- Excellent communication and relationship skills.
